Sail Solo or With a Friend
The Little Wing Tandem Sail can be sailed by one or two people. When sailing solo the boat can be sailed from the aft cockpit or from the amas/trampolines. (Optional trampolines, tiller, and double-ended running rigging required.) By removing the extra person you have removed 30-40% of the overall weight which creates an even faster sailing machine.

Sail From Cockpits or From Trampolines/Amas
With the optional trampolines, tiller, and double-ended running rigging the Little Wing Tandem Sail can be sailed from sitting on the trampolines or the amas. This provides a few advantages. The first advantage is that by moving the sailor(s) weight to the windward ama the righting moment of the boat increases dramatically which means you can attain higher top speeds. The second advantage is that by sitting on the windward ama the sailor(s) will have a drier ride. The final advantage is when solo sailing the sailor can correctly balance the boat with his weight.

Easy to Car Top
The Little Wing Tandem Sail is a breeze to car top. It disassembles in minutes, with the heaviest component being the Little Wing Tandem kayak at only 44 pounds. The kayak goes on a standard kayak carrier and the beams, mast, and amas go on a specially outfitted kayak holder. The total rack space is similar to that of two kayaks.

Easy to Rig and Launch
Boat assembly takes about 5 minutes. Only 8 pins are needed to attach the amas and beams to the kayak. Innovative rigging keeps most of the lines permanently attached to the beams. The boat's ultra-light weight allows two people to launch it with ease. Quick assembly and launch time means more time on the water!

Performance
The Little Wing Tandem Sail is fast on all tacks and in all wind speeds. In fact, in many conditions she can sail faster than the wind. The three skinny displacement hulls and our ultra-light construction combine to create a boat with very little drag. Flying along at water level is quite a rush!

Safe and Fun
The Little Wing Tandem Sail has excellent stability thanks to her overall width and large amas. The boat is very difficult to capsize making her appropriate for all skill levels. The sail can be reefed and it can also be raised and lowered from the cockpit while on the water. Simple, well thought out controls make her an excellent boat for those learning to sail.
